Poetry
I came across this website Poetiv this week. It has a ton of good poems from a lot of famous poets. I am not much into poetry (writing or reading), but I was glad to find my favorite poem.."Stopping by woods on a snowy evening" by Robert Frost. The poem goes like this..
Whose woods these are I think I know.Of all the poems which I read in school, i.e. of all the poems which were imposed upon me by the Tamil Nadu State board of education, this sonnet some how just stayed in my mind. I guess it is because I was able to picturise this clearly unlike any other poem. Also because I think the message in the poem is so clear and simple. I have been thinking reading something like this will be great inspiration and motivation way to start a day or a week.
His house is in the village, though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it's queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there's some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep
