Kings Island..(click here for snaps!!)
Hi all,
recently i went to Kings Island and man...it was soo much fun. The rides were just awesome.. the drop zone where you are dropped (free fall) from around 300 feet was i guess the scariest. what sucked though was the long waiting lines before every major ride. Fortunately since we were 5 of us it didnt seem that bad! the following were the rides i went to in the order i went:-
- Son of Beast- longest wooden rollercoaster and i also think the highest and fastest..man its less scarry and hurts more. its like riding at 70 mph in a pennyslyvania road filled with pot holes and then not to mention the almost 90 degrees fall and also the loop. One the whole it hurt more than it was scary.
- Delirium - Man this looked like one hell of a ride though wasnt all that scary in the end. its a little similar to ranger we have in MGM in Madras, the only diffrence its kinda disc shaped and the disc swings as well and rotates. Raman chickened out of this ride in the last moment..
- Drop Zone - Free fall from a height of over 300 feet. Initially didnt look scarry at all but eventually it turned out to be the best ride of all. its like only the seat belts hold you to your seat while you are just dropping down at incredible speed.the scariest part is when they just leave you at 300 feet for 30 seconds and you dont know when he is gonna drop you!!
- Face/Off - Suspended High speed steel rollercoaster. it has a 90 degree high speed sharp turn and 2 loops. you go in foward direction once and in reverse direction once. I went twice in this rollercoaster. G forces in excess of 5G!!
- water ride...simple ride we got fully drenched after this ride..not scarry at all just a boat which splashes into water!
- Vortex - the worlds only rollercoaster which has 6 loops..not very scary but was good fun. the best part was the waiting line for this rollercoaster moved very fast and so we didnt have to wait very long. Seema broke her spectacles here. this is the only ride i rode in in the first row. It was soo much more better than the other ones.
- Me and seema then for a silly kiddie ride. i just went to dry my tshirt and shorts!..nothing worth mentioning about the ride!
- Tomb Raider - i guess this took the maximum amount of time to wait as there was a technical snag for sometime. Its a simulation ride and was nice and diffrent. nothing more to mention about it.
- White water rafting - or something like that...was basically riding on simulated rapids..got us fully drenched again and we were all shivering as it had got really cold by then..the place where they had the ride was very nice..dense forest on either side besides no makkal seen anywhere so it was fun to ride...i wanted to ride once more but nobody else was very keen...
- Top Gun - suspended roller coaster which simulates the effect of riding in a fighter plane..only sharp turns..no loops or sharp drops...so i just relaxed in the ride and there really was no big deal about it.
- went again to face/off...
at around 11.30pm we started to drive back home...i started to drive initially and everybody else went to sleep..and then 50 miles from lexington when the lanes started looking like tracks of rollercoaster rides and i had to struggle to keep my eyes open...i let Subha to drive after stopping in a gas station to pick up coffee and sandwiches! got back home at around 3 am...crashed in the bed and got up at 12.30pm sunday morning..
phew...what a day that was!!

Well, those lanes certainly did look like rollercoaster tracks what with all the twists and turns and curves..I had to use all my energy in watching the markers so I didn't go off the road!!thank me for getting u home safe and sound!
Man trust me - Tomb Raider sucked when I was there in June. We had to wait for an hour and a half, and finally the same 'technical snag' happened, leaving people stranded on the ride, and me getting a fistful from the other guys.
I thought the beast/son of beast were the best.
Face/Off sucks - coz it got me totally disoriented.
Good to know you're still a bit hit with the ladies -
:-) Vego hasn't lost his touch, it appears...
